We have decided that we will be making all of her food. We will know EXACTLY what is in each bite she takes. No extra salt, preservatives, or fillers. Just wholesome, yummy, fresh food. Since we don't eat from a box/jar we don't expect her to either. Hopefully seeing this lifestyle from the start will create better habits down the road. It is funny that I never really paid much attention to organic foods, what cleaners I use, or even sunscreen...until baby! Now, priorities are different and her well being, safety, and happiness are obviously the most important thing to me.
Here is a few pictures we snapped from our 1st encounter with sweet potatoes!
Ok, I will try it Mommy....
That wasn't rice cereal...
but I LOVE IT!!
and you better be getting me more!
Hi Monica! I found you from my blog and I do remember you, shocking to me since it has been soo long. I too used cloth diapers and made all my baby food! Way to go! I also have made my own laundry detergent and soap. :) Your daughter is adorable, congrats. Just wanted to stop by and say hello!
ReplyDeleteI loved making Ethan's baby food. Easy, affordable and healthy. I agree 100% with you on teaching healthy eating habits from the start. Ethan loves snacking on vegetables and has a very broad range of foods that he eats. I'm lucky that he isn't picky at all. (Now, Jim is another story!)
