Way Late....our firecracker...

I debated about even posting these...is there a time limit as to how old pictures can be to blog them.  I mean we are only 1 month 1 week 1 day past the 4th of July right?  Oh well.  I actually just found them on my computer.  Tim put them on here way back and I didn't realize we had them.

We were invited to Garnet to spend the 4th with the Lickteig's and thier family and friends.  I neglected to take ANY pictures, but thankfully Marcia got some good ones.  Tenley loved the fireworks just as much as she did at DisneyWorld.  She was not about to go to sleep and miss something, even though bed time is at 7:45, and we hadn't really even started the fireworks show yet.  She lasted through it all, she would clap and cheer with each bang...to cute!! Here is the photo recap, then I promise the following posts will be a bit more current! (however, I figure the Grandparents love to see pictues of her, no matter how old!)

Loving our little firecracker!

Marcia, Tenley, and Me.  Can her smile be any bigger?

Cousin Time

While we were home for my 10 year class reunion (July 9th), Tenley got some Grandparent time, which lead to (2nd) cousin time.  For the class reunion we had family time at the park on Saturday afternoon, that we all went too.  It was VERY hot, so we didn't stay a really long time, but it was good to see friends and their families.  That evening we had dinner at Willer's, and it was a Mommy & Daddy outing.  Tenley stayed home at Grandma and Grandpa Chester's while we went out.  My mom had invited the Great Grandmas down for dinner so that they could all see Miss Tenley.  My cousin Chelsey, who was also in my class, and her husband Mike were at the class reunion as well, so her kids were with Great Grandma Hanke.  They got to come to Mom's house too and Tenley had such a good time playing with them! Come see us again soon Corey, Ciara, and Cailyn!!

Aren't they all so stinkin' cute!!

1st Pony Ride!

It finally wasn't freezing, or to hot, or to windy. She is now big enough, and Mommy was brave enough for her very 1st "trail ride."  This was something that we had been looking forward to for sometime, but it seemed that each time we were home it just hadn't worked out.  Aunt Megan was really excited to get Miss Tenley up on a horse.  Patrick has a handful of horses right now that are gentle enough for us to all take out.  This isn't always the case since he breaks and trains them for a living...sometimes they are a bit to "bronc" to just take out for a ride.  But, we finally got to do it.  It was a beautiful day and we took advantage of it!

Daddy telling about how much fun this will be

Hanging out on the farm

All saddled up and ready to ride!

She LOVED it, every time Chumlee (the horse, and yep, off Pawn Stars...Patrick & and Megan said they have pretty much the same personality) would twitch she would giggle, too cute!

Uncle Pat giving her the "reins." Go figure, she loves mommy's hair, but wouldn't hold on to or pull the horses.

Aunt Megan and Tenley

Uncle Pat and Tenley, he was the one who actually rode with her. They rode "TapOut" which Tim thought was pretty cool.

Lets go Uncle Pat!

and we're off...

What a great ride!

We all had such a great time. Tenley loved riding and she did so well the whole time.  Like I said she rode with Uncle Pat, I trust his riding skills much more than my own! She giggled, talked, and just took it all in while we road.  We didn't have a lot of time, because we had my 10 year class reunion to go to that evening.  Even so we can't wait to go again!

Playtime

When hanging out at Grandma and Papa's house there is always someone to play with.  This time it was Uncle Pat and Aunt Megan.  These pictures are from a few weeks back, but I forgot to bring the laptop with us, so I was just able to get them (since we are back home again now.)  Tenley has such a great time playing with them, and I will venture to say that they don't mind playing with her either!  I just love seeing them all interact.  She is a loved little girl!

This guy is awesome!

I promise not to drool on you Aunt Megan, as long as you take me for pony rides!
(super blurry, but super cute)

These guys are SO much fun

Mom, can't you see I am playing...

Super Cheese!

Hunter, less than thrilled with his lack of (ie, not constant) attention

Some Mommy time too

Oh, the things she will learn....

the end result of a morning of playing, rest up baby your 1st pony ride is next!

Nap?

Sweet chatter from the monitor melts my heart after a good nap...after only 20 minutes or so....well it's still sweet, but we need more sleep than that to keep a happy girl happy.  This is what we found when we went to put her back down....

Nap, I don't need no stinking nap!

We're mobile folks!

So the days of sitting her in one spot, running to the other room, and knowing that she would be RIGHT there when we came back...well those days are long gone!  We are VERY mobile.  We have been for a few weeks now, but I am just getting to post it.  And, I had a cute video of her crawling on my phone and then had to reset it to factory settings so I lost it.  (thank goodness, I had only had the new {iphone}for a few days when it happened) I will get another one and show it off.  I may just be one of the cutest things I have ever seen. Actually, not maybe, it is.

Not a lot of words needed for this, you will see where we are headed.....

... "that's not for little girls, Tenley" That may be the most repeated phrase in our house lately, & mostly to this (old) photo of Mom and I.  We are getting lots of practice on mama and grandma though!

Busy Little Fingers...

We could just sit and watch her for hours...

exploring the world around her....

learning with every movement,

and taking in this great big world!
