Baby #2 update

Wowza, this is ALOT harder this time.  I am sure many of you remember Tenley's weekly blogs before she was born, this little one is already getting the short end of the stick.  We are still getting *most* of our weekly photos, but getting time to sit down and put it onto the blog has been, well, not happening.

Part of that has to do with the simple fact I am chasing a BUSY toddler, and part is because up until about 26 weeks, I still felt really sick about 98% of the time.  I am doing much better now, but it still comes and goes.  With Tenely the sickness ended about 18 weeks, so I was not surprised when it held on for that long, but yuck.  I know it is all a phase, but I will be glad when it is over.  Other than that, I have been doing really well, and pretty much exactly the same as with Tenely.  My blood pressure is great, and my weight gain is within 1/2 pound of where I was before.  That is all reassuring to me, as I feel like I am eating CONSTANTLY!  Coming down with the flu bug shortly before Christmas didn't help either, but Dr Taylor was pleased with where we had came since the previous appointment.

We start appointments every 2 weeks now, which is crazy!  That was such a milestone the first time, and the realization that baby was almost here.  It is really sinking in now too.  We are finally getting things done around here, which makes me feel much more relaxed.  We knew that getting through the holidays would be hectic, so with that in mind we had pretty much planned to go into "baby mode" after the new year.  I have a nursery fairly planned out.  Not knowing gender makes it TOUGH!  but oh so fun.  We will keep it pretty neutral with brown, aqua, (soft) yellow, and some orange before baby, then once he/she is here I will go that direction with it.  The walls have the 1st coat of paint and that is on the list to finish on Friday, and the crib is in pieces in our front room.  That is also to be assembled on Friday.  Tim and I made a trip to KC last week and ordered the dresser, which won't be delivered until mid-march.  That stresses me a bit, but what can ya do.  Tim was thrilled, less to work around until then.  True, I guess.  We also did a small registry at Buy Buy Baby, man I love that place.

But for now here is a few bump photos to get us (almost) caught up!

so, the little Momma wanted to show her tummy too!  and I guess the next few weeks are still on the camera...lets just hope that they are posted before a newborn photo!

Jump!

Well, I inadvertently took a LONG blog hiatus....oops! The first say 24 weeks of this pregnancy were pretty rough.  That coupled with the holidays, the "family flu" put me behind! I am feeling better now, and need to play some major catch up. These (and many posts to come) are from a while  back, but I know the Grandparents won't mind :)

This was actually a birthday present for her from Daddy and Mommy, we came across a great deal from some family members who were ready to sell it, so we snatched it up.  Ever since we enrolled Tenley into tumbling class, all this girl wants to do is JUMP MOMMA.  So, now she can...if it ever warms back up!

She was BIG help putting her trampoline together.

In Heaven! She loves it.  We had ordered a spring guard...then as we were putting it on realized it is to small, so we still have to add that. She doesn't get to crazy though so at least we are pretty* safe still using it!

52:44

Motherhood is:
Exhausting

On call 24/7, a playmate, a cook, a maid, a taxi, a Mommy.
But I wouldn't trade it for the world!

Some days ya just need some time to rest, to relax, and enjoy the quiet. To just be.

Take 2!!

Well, much over due, and most of you already know...but we are thrilled to announce to the blog world that we are expecting baby #2.  We are thrilled and Miss Tenley is pumped too.  She told us "baby, Mommy's tummy" before the test even read positive!

We are currently 19 weeks along, and things are going great for baby.  For Mommy is a different story.  I was sick with Tenley until about 15 weeks, but this little one is already challenging me.  I know it is harder, simply because I am chasing a toddler this time, but I am beyond ready for the sickness to go away and enjoy this pregnancy!  My complaining won't make it any better though, so I am trying to focus on the positive.  We are using the same OB/GYN this time as we did with Tenley, as she is great.  Our due date is April 20th(ish), 2013.  We have an appointment this Wednesday, where we can find out gender....but, we are holding out this time.  Tim started out wanting to with Tenley, and I couldn't do it.  So this time, we are changing it up.  He says, "it is one of the last true surprises and he wants to experience it" so I am 100% on board with it this time and completely okay with it.  Which is shocking for the girl who has to plan, plan, plan for everything!  I guess sometimes you just have to let go, so that is what I am doing.

I have been trying to keep up with weekly belly shots...why is this such a chore, it isn't like it changes....there are always 7 days of opportunity...but, I have still managed to miss a few weeks...here is what I have uploaded to the computer so far.  I won't wait 20 weeks to post the next ones!

We just found out the  news! I love nothing more than her grinning face in the background
4 weeks, didn't have the chalkboard yet :)

So, still have some catch up to do. I really need to also remember to do photos before Tenley is in bed, because we want her to be a big part of this pregnancy.  She already loves to talk to the baby, my heart melts.  She will tell baby about her day, her toys, her shows, beyond adorable.  Oh how I love that girl, and look forward to seeing her as a big sister, and realizing how much more love we have to share.  Please keep us in your prayers and we progress through this journey of life.  We are blessed and looking so forward to this new adventure!

"Haw-yo-ween"

"Mommy, I want to be a cwoud" translation...a cloud.  We had planned on being Minnie Mouse, since that is our current favorite. However, when asked what she wanted to be, a cloud it was.  So we went with it.  I must say she makes a pretty adorable cloud too.

We got to have Halloween as a family this year, which hasn't happened (well ever) due to Daddy's work schedule, so we were thrilled to spend it together.  She had a blast, but at our last stop at some friends where we stayed for a while, I think she had more fun handing out candy that taking it for herself.  She was into the suckers, but other than that showed very little interest.  Prancing around "fwoating" like a cloud was way more fun!

These were downtown a few days before with her buddy Brodie.  It was FREEZING this day, but Halloween was beautiful!
